Meta users are reporting a surge in false account suspensions linked to fraudulent copyright claims, just as CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted the company’s AI agents «are not progressing as we had imagined.»
In recent posts on r/MetaLawsuits, multiple users said their accounts were disabled with no response from Meta.
«I filed FBI IC3 #9171dab 3 weeks ago and reported to Meta. No response from Meta. Account still disabled. I’m in Puerto Rico and this is impacting my business,» said user u/Jor1956.
Another user who works in F1 Esports said they were also suspended: «It’s been 1 week and we desperately need my account back, my work was to push the team on social media. I was also paying Meta Verified. I am taking them to court (Italy).»
Both users cited fraudulent copyright reports as the reason for the takedowns.
The complaints come days after Zuckerberg told employees during an internal town hall that Meta’s AI development was slower than expected.
Meta has not responded to requests for comment.
