Police arrest suspect of leading carjacking gang

In the morning of this morning, Puerto Rico Police officers arrested a man against whom an arrest warrant was weighed with a bail of $1.4 million for shooting at a municipal policeman.
Agents of the Auxiliary Superintendence in Special Operations attached to the Caguas Intelligence and Arrests division arrested 37-year-old Jenzen Medina Boria in the Celada neighborhood of Gurabo.
According to the investigation by the C.I.C. of Caguas, on December 10, 2023, in the early hours of the morning, the municipal police Nelson Hernández was traveling in his personal vehicle through the Las 400 sector of the Hato Nuevo neighborhood in Gurabo, when he realized that the accused, in conjunction with two other men, were shooting with firearms in a vacant lot. After following them in their vehicle, they reacted by shooting at the policeman, who repelled the aggression, injuring one of them. The individuals managed to escape by entering a wooded area.
Along with Medina Boria, Ian J. were accused. Figueroa Hernández, alias Lengüita and Ezequiel Rivera García, both 20-year-old and residents of Gurabo, to whom the Caguas Prosecutor’s Office filed four charges each for attempted murder, for shooting in a public place and for violations of the Weapons Law and imposed global bails of $3 million. Both are in a criminal institution pending the judicial process against them.
